Indian Fish Meal & Fish Oil Report WEEK 31
First attempt to share weekly report publicly .We have had reports particularly for our subscribers in last 6 months .However we believe these information will help Feed Mills and Fish meal producers to understand the industry better .
Everyone in India in this industry is excited about the new season . However some people believe this season will result is lower fish availability .As per many people rain has been not up to the mark this year thus leaving the breeding to be on poor side .No fish was available at both East and West coast of India . Feed giants CP group is ready to pay 105-107Rs/Kg for CP 60% Fish meal .But according to me landings will not be good until end of August .Hence we expect the price to remain high untill end of September .

5. Imports to India
60MT of Fish Meal from Thailand and 100MT from UAE has been imported this week .
6.General News
Indian Feed Mills have already placed orders for fish meal from overseas for their consumption this season.Feed Mills say that its high time that they start importing fish meal and its just rubbish to pay such high price for local produced fish meal .With many Fish Meal producers higher installed capacity than last year , its difficult to see downward trend in raw fish price or fish meal price this season .Heavy competition and low fish availability has ultimately left the Fish/Shrimp farmers to pay higher feed prices last season and is believed to continue this season as well.
